Varsity girls' basketball loses 24-15 to Yokota

The varsity girls' basketball team struggled its way to a 24-15 loss against Yokota on Saturday morning. The Knights now have a 4-2 record in league play.

CAJ never found its offensive groove in this game. The Knights were missing shots inside and outside, and they gave Yokota many second-chance opportunities by not rebounding well on the defensive end.

"This was definitely our worst game of the season," coach Craig Eby. "There were a lot of passes we couldn't handle, we were a second too slow on our passes and movements. It really seemed like it was our first game back from break, although it was actually our third."

Eby added that the team's defense did a pretty good job forcing turnovers, but that it couldn't capitalize by scoring in transition.

"Hopefully we'll come back on Monday ready to adjust and to start playing good ball," Eby said.

Rachel led the Knights with six points. Anna also had five points.

The Knights' next game will be next Wednesday at YIS.
