Quick Hot Cocoa — One Mug at a Time

Ingredients:
1 Tbsp cocoa
2 Tbsp sugar
dash salt
3 Tbsp cold milk
1/8 tsp vanilla (optional)
boiling water
Directions:
Combine cocoa, sugar, and salt in mug. Stir in cold milk until blended like a syrup. Add vanilla and stir. Fill mug the rest of the way with hot water.
- preparation time: 5 minutes
- makes: 1 cup
- VARIATIONS: Canadian Cocoa: Add 1/8 tsp maple extract.
- Irish Mint Cocoa: Add 1/8 tsp pure mint and peppermint extract.
- Orange Cocoa Cappuccino: Add 1/8 tsp pure orange extract.
- Swiss Mocha: Add 1/2 tsp instant coffee.
- Vienense Cocoa: Add cinnamon and nutmeg. Serve with a cinnamon stick.
