Summer (夏) Programs / サマープログラム(夏)
CAJ Summer Programs is offered primarily for CAJ students. Some of our courses are open to non-CAJ students. If you are a non-CAJ student wanting to enroll, please contact the Summer Programs Coordinator, Tanya Hall.
CAJのサマープログラムは主にCAJの生徒のためのものですが、幾つかのコースはCAJ以外の生徒も参加可能です。CAJの生徒でない方で、参加ご希望の方は、サマープログラムコーディネーターのターニャ・ホール、thall@caj.ac.jp. までご連絡ください。

Payment / 支払い方法
  • Families with a CAJ or SSS account will have the fees charged to their account after the class is over.
  • Families who are not enrolled at CAJ or SSS need to make payment before the first day of class through one of the following means:
    • Cash, in person: Our cashier is open daily 8:15 to 10:00 a.m. (Wednesday from 9:00), 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. and 3:15 to 4:30 p.m.
    • Bank transfer: Resona Bank, Higashi Kurume Bank, Futsu Yokin Savings Account #0845378
  • Be sure to include the student's name and the class(es) the student is attending.
  • CAJまたはSSSにアカウントがあるご家族の場合はクラス終了後に費用がチャージされます。
  • CAJまたはSSSにアカウントがないご家族の場合はクラスの初日に以下に記す方法のどちらかによるお支払いをお願いします。
    • 現金の場合:CAJのお支払いの窓口にて8時15分から10時(水曜日は9時から)、12時半から2時、3時半から4時半の間にお支払いください。
    • 銀行振込:りそな銀行、東久留米支店、普通預金口座 口座番号0845378までお振込みください。
  • お子様のお名前と参加されるクラスを振込用紙に必ずご記入ください。
Other Details / その他の注意点
  • Grade level is set for what grade the students are entering in the fall.
  • Classes with enrollment below the minimum will be canceled.
  • Families will be notified of any changes as soon as possible.
  • Please contact Tanya Hall (Summer Program Coordinator) with any questions or to make changes to your registration.
  • 学年は生徒が8月で入学する学年で設定されています
  • 参加人数が定員に満たないクラスはキャンセルになります。
  • 変更があった場合にはなるべく早くご連絡いたします。
  • クラス参加申し込みをした後で、変更が発生した場合は、ターニャ・ホール(サマープログラムコーディーネーター)までご連絡ください。

  • Class registration remains open until midnight of the day before the class begins.
  • Families registering more than one student must register each separately.

2019 MS Science *, grades 6th-8th  closed
Courses marked * may be used towards EAL summer study requirements (this is a 15 hour course). Science is fun! We will be exploring the theme of space through hands on activities.

For those in Elementary School interested in working on their tennis skills!

2019 Bullet Journaling C*, grades 6th-12th  closed
Courses marked * may be used towards EAL summer study requirements (this is a 10 hour course). Keeping up with classes, sports, family, and friends can be overwhelming. Come find ways that keeping a journal can help! If you are familiar with Bullet Journalling or want to see what it is all about this class is for you. We will explore ways a journal can be a place to reflect on your thoughts and dreams, as well as a place to set goals, plan, get organized and track your progress.

This is for all MS kids wanting to learn or improve their tennis skills. All levels welcome!

2019 Scratch Coding/Programming, grades 4th-8th  closed
Learn the basics of coding with Scratch, a powerful but easy to learn programming tool. Quickly put together animated shows, interactive games, and more. You can even share your creations on the web if you like. Learn the techniques that apply to even more advanced programming as well.

2019 MS Reading/Writing C*, grades 6th-8th  closed
Courses marked * may be used towards EAL summer study requirements (this is a 15 hour course). This course provides students with opportunities to learn/improve reading and writing skills. We are going to explore different topics such as geography, history and culture. For reading, we will be learning reading strategies to improve reading skills. Students will also learn how to answer reading questions and get to work on Summer Reading assignment. For writing, we will focus on writing skills, such as organizing ideas, answering essay questions, summarizing/paraphrasing, grammar, revising/editing, and note taking skills.
