Japan Christian Academy Association[edit]
Japan Christian Academy Association is registered in the State of Illinois. It primarily raises funds for the ministry of the Christian Academy in Japan. The address is JCAA P.O. Box 905, Wheaton, IL 60189-0905.
Christian Academy in Japan[edit]
Christian Academy in Japan, located in Tokyo, was established in 1950 to provide a Christ-centered education in the English language for the children of evangelical missionaries. CAJ’s enrollment of 420 students includes 250 missionary children. The K-12 student body comes from a diverse background of 15 nationalities and 40 mission groups.
Supporting CAJ Teachers and Staff[edit]
It is the mission of CAJ to equip students to server Japan and the world for Christ. In order to achieve its goals, CAJ needs support both in prayer and financial aid. Most of the funds for CAJ’s ongoing ministry come from tuition and fees. However, CAJ depends upon outside donations in order to keep its tuition rates reasonable for missionaries, so that they might continue serving Christ in Japan.
Most of the teachers and staff at Christian Academy in Japan are members of mission organizations and thus receive financial support through their missions in addition to the base compensation paid by CAJ. Non-mission supplied teachers and staff who are not members of mission organizations, rely on grants from JCAA to complement their salary needs.
JCAA Board[edit]
The JCAA Board makes annual grants to CAJ as a means of funding teacher compensation or other operating subsidies. The JCAA volunteer Board of Directors represents the six missions who operate Christian Academy in Japan.
- Christian Reformed World Mission
- World Venture
- Serve Globally - The Evangelical Covenant Church
- One Mission Society (OMS)
- SEND International
- The Evangelical Alliance Mission (TEAM)
All funds received by JCAA are under the complete discretion and control of the JCAA Board of Directors. The JCAA Board receives grant requests from CAJ each year and may issue grants to cover these needs if the requests are appropriate and are funded by donations to the ministry of JCAA.
