Senior Shepherds
Senior Shepherds are a small group (6-7) of senior teachers who meet together on a regular basis (about twice a month) to discuss the Senior Comps process, senior class issues and individual student needs. Each senior shepherd is responsible for an accountability group of (7-9) seniors.
Seniors are required to meet individually with their shepherd three times during the comps process:
- To discuss and approve their topic.
- To discuss and approve their interview questions.
- To discuss and approve their project proposal.
The shepherd is also available throughout the Senior Comps process to answer questions, help with organization, and to provide support for the students in the accountability group. (The student accountability group also meets together for mutual support, peer editing and advice during their social studies class, so the groups are formed according to their social studies class period.)
