Pre-Class Checklist
- Desks, tables, or centers are arranged for appropriate distancing
- Ventilation system is working including open windows
- Sanitizing station for classroom disinfecting is fully stocked and ready
- Hand sanitizer at the door is full and ready for use
- Students’ supplies are distributed as appropriate
- All shared items or materials that will be used have been disinfected and are ready for use
- Classroom door has been propped open
- Your own high-touch surfaces have been sanitized
- Your mask is on
- Your face shield is disinfected and ready for use if applicable
- You have washed or sanitized your hands
Checklist for Teachers as students arrive
- Remind students to keep masks on.
- Remind students to maintain 1–2m physical distancing.
- Remind students to use hand sanitizer as they enter classroom.
Checklist for Teachers during lessons
- Remind students to keep masks on unless directed to remove them by the teacher.
- Remind students to comply with distancing rules.
- Remind students not to share or exchange equipment or personal belongings.
- Remind students of handwashing expectations after coughing, sneezing, during transitions, before eating, and after bathroom.
- Wash or sanitize hands before and after providing routine care to younger students.
- If any student is displaying symptoms or feeling unwell, isolate student as possible and contact the Health Center.
Checklist for Teachers as students exit
- Remind students to sanitize their desks or tables and any other surfaces they have touched, out of courtesy to others.
- Prop the door open so that students do not need to touch handle.
- Remind students to wear their masks.
- Remind students to maintain 1-2m physical distancing.
- Remind students to use hand sanitizer or wash their hands as they exit classroom.
- Remind students to obey directional signage in hallways, stairwells, and common areas.
Regular Sanitation Checklist for Teachers
- Sanitize the high-touch surfaces you or students have had contact with.
- Keep desks, tables, or centers arranged for appropriate distancing.
- Ensure ventilation, either by ventilation system or open windows.
- Monitor sanitizing station to ensure adequate supplies.
- Review and sanitize individual children’s kits.
- Follow materials management guidelines for shared materials: items to be organized by day and rotated in/out of classroom as needed, items to be sanitized at the end of the day, items to be sanitized after each use.

Checklist for Students as they arrive in classroom
- Wear your mask.
- Sanitize hands when you enter the classroom.
Checklist for Students during lessons
- Wear your mask unless your teacher directs you to remove it.
- Remain seated and comply with 1-2m distancing expectation.
- Don’t share or exchange equipment or personal belongings with others.
- Follow handwashing expectations after coughing, sneezing, during transitions, before eating, and after bathroom.
Checklist for Students as they exit classroom
- Wear your mask.
- Follow instructions for sanitizing desks, tables, and other surfaces out of courtesy to others
- Maintain 1–2m physical distancing.
- Use hand sanitizer as you exit the classroom.
- Follow directional signage in hallways, stairwells, and common areas.
