HS boys' cross country places 3rd at Asia Pacific Invitational

The high school boys’ cross country team placed 3rd out of 10 scoring teams at the Asia Pacific Invitational meet on Monday at Urayasu-Shi Sogo Park.
On the 5-kilometer course, CAJ was led by Hayato, who finished 9th out of 79 runners with a time of 18:10.4. Finishing out the Knights’ top five were Ken (11th grade) (18:30.1, 13th), William (18:56.6, 18th), Aidan (19:07.4, 20th) and Dominic (19:18.4, 24th). Hayato and Ken earned All-Star recognition for placing among the top 15 runners. Four of CAJ's 12 runners ran their fastest time on a 5-kilometer course.

"In an important meet like today, everyone put forth a great effort," coach Nate Rudd said. "We had standout performances not only from our official runners [CAJ's top seven runners] but also our unofficial runners [CAJ's next five runners]."
The Knights will run on Tuesday at the same park for the relay portion of their at the Asia Pacific Invitational meet.
