The high school track and field team competed at Yokota on Saturday for its second meet of the season. Only 21 members of the team were able to attend the optional meet, but many of the athletes who participated were able to achieve personal best marks.
"I was impressed that Annabelle jumped 1.45 meters today [in the high jump], which was her personal best and also qualified her for Far East," said coach Craig Eby.
Eby also mentioned that the boys' 4x400 meter relay team of Kento, Dominic, Tristin and Hikaru qualified for Far East (3:45.12) and that Tristin was very close to doing so in the 800 meters (2:08.27).
The next meet of the season will be on April 7 at Oi Futo Track in Haneda. Both high school and middle school athletes will compete at that meet.
