Tennis teams complete third day of Far East Tournament

The tennis teams competed very well on a hot third day of Far East, which consisted mainly of quarterfinals and semifinal matches. CAJ had four players advanced to the final match of their bracket (Kaito and Kaitlyn in singles, as well as Kento and Kitt in doubles).
Coach Ushio Sawada commented that Kaitlyn became the first CAJ female finalist at Far East in his nine-year tenure as tennis coach. On Friday, Hanna also played her last match of her tennis career.
"Please congratulate her for a very respectable tennis team career as a reliable and influential co-captain," Sawada said of Hanna.
Tomorrow, the Knights will have Kaito and Kaitlyn playing in the singles finals and Kento and Kitt playing in the doubles finals. Kento and Kiara will play for 3rd place in the mixed doubles tournament. Kitt (singles), along with Kaito and Joe (doubles), will play for 5th, and Jenny and Kiara (doubles) will play for 9th.

Kaito wins 6-2, 6-3 against Takumi of E.J. King in semifinals
Girls Singles
Kaitlyn wins 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 against Ally of Kubasaki in semifinals
Boys Doubles
Kento and Kitt win 8-6 against Won Hyun and Seiga of St. Marys in quarterfinals, win 6-2, 6-0 against Ian and David of YIS-S in semifinals
Kaito and Joe lose 9-7 to Takumi and Johnathon of E.J. King in quarterfinals
Girls Doubles
Kaitlyn and Hanna lose 8-4 against Ally and Carolina of Kubasaki in quarterfinals
Mixed Doubles
Kento and Kiara lose 6-4, 4-6, 0-6 against Seiga and Debangi of St. Mary's/Seisen in semifinals
