The middle school girls' soccer teams played a combined two games against YIS at home on Saturday. A Team won 2-0 and B Team tied 2-2.
Head coach Kathryn Lewis shared some comments on the games:
"Both teams were stretched to their limits with no subs. They endured the cold weather and blinding dusty wind to play two strong games. The B Team started off on shaky ground, but they persisted in getting after the ball and looking for their teammates to tie up the game 2-2 in the dying minutes.
Inspired by the grit of the B Team, the A Team players came out strong using good positioning and well-placed kicks to get the 2-0 win, containing the opponent even while playing with one less player. Well done, Knights!"
A Team's record is now 2-3-1 this season, and B Team's record is 0-4-1. A Team is scheduled to play NIS at CAJ next Thursday afternoon, with a possible second game for the B Team depending on the number of available players.
